maybe, in another time ..
you might hear me,
above the din of crowd's approval,
the tiny little song beneath the roar .

perhaps, in some other place ..
you may see me,
out there beyond the glaring footlights,
shining bright and true .

here I am .. just me .. my self ..
nothing to hide, no games to play,
perhaps if I knew the rules,
the dance .. the script ..

someday, in a warmer space ..
you will feel me,
as others clamor to touch your robe,
I'll be in the wings ..
WAITING .
